Fennel is hosting a Queer Dinner Party where LGBTQIA+ folks can cook together, share a seasonal meal & spend the evening with loved ones & new friends in a welcoming space.
ALSO on SATURDAY, JUNE 6TH: They’re following it up with Rainbow Cake Piping 101. Learn the basics of piping while decorating your own rainbow cake with plenty of practice (& frosting) along the way!
SATURDAY, JUNE 6TH, 12–4 PM: STUFF TO DO IN A SPACE FOR RENT @4500 S. KINGSHIGHWAY
Need some June weekend plans? Handled. Garcia Property Management is opening up 4500 S Kingshighway for an afternoon of yoga, tarot readings, sound baths, local art, vintage shopping, cake by the slice, a DJ, food truck & more. Come hang out, wander around & tour the apartments + private office spaces while you’re here. Basically… a little something for everyone.
SUNDAY, JUNE 7TH, 1-4 PM: LEARN TO PLAY MAHJONG @THE GOLDEN HOOSIER
Ready to finally figure out what everyone’s been talking about? Mahj Podge STL is hosting Mahjong 101 upstairs at The Golden Hoosier with a beginner-friendly afternoon designed for people who are totally new to the game or just want a fun Sunday activity. They’ll walk you through the basics while you sip a cocktail, hang out & learn to play with friends old & new. It's a super fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
SATURDAY, JUNE 13TH, 12-6:30PM: SOULARD PRIDE
Pride is taking over Soulard between Russell & Geyer for a full day of music, performances, vendors, drag, community & neighborhood celebration. Best part? Everything is free & open to everyone. The day kicks off with the Golf Cart Parade leaving Big Daddy’s at 11:30am before the festivities start at noon with performances hosted by Jade Sinclair, Lunna Thicc Mornett, Moxi Contin & more throughout the afternoon. There’ll also be a Kids’ Corner, local artists, small businesses, nonprofits, limited edition merch & a Drag Battle Fundraiser to wrap things up. Come hang around the neighborhood, support local organizations & celebrate Pride with the Soulard community all day long.
FRIDAY, JUNE 26TH, 7PM: THIS IS CASUALLY HAPPENING COMEDY SHOWCASE returns to The Golden Hoosier
We’re hosting another comedy showcase upstairs in the Lounge featuring comics from St. Louis, Chicago & beyond, with performers who’ve appeared at Helium, Funny Bone, City Winery & independent venues around the country.
Doors open at 7pm, the show starts at 7:30pm & tickets are $15 on Eventbrite. Grab them ahead of time, because these nights have been filling up fast lately.
Come hang out, have a drink, laugh a little. Sounds like a pretty decent Friday night to us!

Fated Pages Book Club meets the last Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM at a.casa. The focus is romantasy: love stories set in worlds filled with magic, adventure & mythical creatures. This month's read will be Sophie Jordan's "A Fire in the Sky". Copies are ready for check out at Buder Library.
Whether you are new to the genre or a seasoned romantasy fan, all are welcome!
